How it works – for the guests
Kaunas Gastro 2017 will be a bit different from than last year’s setup. This year Kaunas Gastro will be a two day event, starting on Wednesday, October 11th and continuing on Thursday, October 12th.
On Wednesday, on Rotušės aikštė there will be a chance to meet the chefs behind the dishes. This evening is dedicated for the professionals on different terms, but it’s also open for ticket holders to watch and enjoy. The start time for this evening will be announced closer to the event day.
The main event itself starts when the restaurants / patisseries open their doors for you on Thursday the 12th, see details for each route.
To take part in Kaunas Gastro 2017, first you have to choose between two different routes: Food route YELLOW and RED. They are assembled with a good variety to give you a complete experience among the city’s gastro spots. See all places per colour on our map here.
Both routes give you at least 6 venues on Thursday, but a venue is only found in one route. Remember that if you are to walk together, choose the same colour on the route so that you end up in the same places. You can only visit the restaurant / patisserie that are shown on your chosen colour.
Note: Drinks at the venues are not included in the price of the ticket, unless you’re informed otherwise at the venue.
If you have allergies, you should tell the restaurants / patisseries upon arrival. We can’t guarantee that they are able to consider such requests.

How it works – for the venues
There’s no fee for a restaurant / patisserie to participate in the event, all you need is to be open for the event’s guests during the evening, and offer a sample of your speciality to the guests with admittance. We ask that you use and promote local products.
This is the perfect way to advertise your restaurant / patisserie, for a fraction of the cost of regular advertising, and you’re getting people to come to you!

Donating to charity and caring for people is a part of our corporate DNA, and for this event we proudly work with Maisto bankas, highlighting not to waste food. We are donating € 1 to Maisto bankas for each ticket sold.
